Hi, thanks for your videos !
A quick question, I’m french and do not understand what kind of wire do you use to made the reflector.
Does someone explains it to me with a comment please ?

I’ve got this idea for the reflector but not where to find such wire, which do not deformed and flexible enough.

And by the way, sorry I’m not in Facebook…

I think this is best answered with a couple of google searches and this is what I came up with

Basically it is spring steel 1/8″ thick 3/8″ wide

Its ok to not be in facebook, just make sure to tell a friend or two about the show to help us get noticed.

    Thanks!

what was that ribbon he used around the material?

The ribbon is just called ribbon, go to a fabric store or the fabric section in a Wallmart or the like and ask for ‘flat nylon ribbon’ it is mentioned in this as well …

Here is a google search for it if that is not enough

I’m almost finished making a blue key screen, but when I try to tie the fish tape all it does it want to coil back up. Any suggestions?

How are you tying up the fish tape? Can you send me a photo of what you are doing so i can see what is going on? ben (at) MechanicalMashup.tv

That’s another problem that I can’t solve. The fish tape seems to not want to bend and tie. I got it to lay flat (I was trying to do it while standing up) but I think that since I started the ribbon at one of the corners that that’s probably my problem.

It would be really beneficial if you could send me some pictures to my email so I can help you out. Problem is wording these things to what is happening. Picture is worth a thousand words…. ben (at) MechanicalMashup.tv

Cool tutorial on etching. I’m a little confused though. The title is etching copper, and you say etching brass (but correct yourself in the video), and then the guy giving the demonstration is saying “brass” all the time. Now it looks light enough in color to be brass, rather than copper, so I’m not sure what it actually is in the end? Can you clarify it for me please Ben?

Ummmm errrrrr…. well….. you see I was just a bumbling idiot when I did the intro. It is brass that was etched.
