Great idea! I wonder one thing, though. I once tried to make a telescope using simple lenses like you used here. The problem I had was finding a tube that was the same size. It looks like you got lucky because you found a tube that was just the right size for the lens you had. For the telescopes I ended up using inexpensive glasses from the dollar store, and the irregular shape was all wrong, although we tried to make due with duct tape to fill in the gaps. I was just wondering about the details of how you made yours work.
